Boy with a capital B

True story. The night before we went for the ultrasound that would reveal the sex of our baby, Justin Timberlake came to me in a dream. He was dressed as a gingerbread man, did a little boy-band dance and proclaimed, "It's a boy!"

While one could argue that there are better uses for dreams starring a post-Britney, pre-SexyBack Justin, to me he was the perfect person to herald the sex of our first child. My pregnancy allowed me to digest nothing more substantial than US Magazine and Access Hollywood, so Justin made perfect sense. And wow, was he ever right. I could tell from those kicks while Finn was still in my belly that this was no fussy little boy.

Now, Finn loves flowers and butterflies. He will play dress-up when at Emma's house and loves joining in the dance circle when they play music from The Little Mermaid. But he's also a tiny little brute, building towers of blocks for the sheer thrill of knocking them down. Running cars up and down every surface. Running around the park saying "weeeee!" when he wants you to put him on a slide or swing. Falling down in a crash, only to pick himself up barrel into something else. Throwing balls like a pro. Justin wasn't kidding around. Boy with a capital B.
